The picture above was taken at a crime scene. A child missing, his body potentially just found a few short hours earlier.  As you can see, the media was already there and set up, waiting for confirmation from the police spokesperson that this was the child.

It ended up that the body found was indeed that of the missing little boy.  Someone had dumped him about 100 yards off the road to the right.  It is now a well known case; in part due to the fact that his mother was found murdered in her home about a week earlier and he was missiing.

Since this day and all of the media coverage following the positive ID there has been very little said about it.  Why do stories comes out so hot off the press then fizzle out before a conclusion is known?

One man is in custody and has been charged with the murder of the mother.  This story is far from over for me.  Too many questions go unanswered.  This is what gives me the desire to dig deeper, to find the answers and write about them.

I don't need to write about the actual tragedy.  It has been covered.  What I can write about is the outcome.  I can also write about two lives that were cut short but held so many accomplishments and left so many loving friends and relatives behind.

This and many other topics are what I like to cover in my articles.
